Is this an older BlueSpice installation with outdated entries in in the extensions/BlueSpiceFoundation/config/nm-settings.php file? You might also experience this bug Upgrade BlueSpice 3 to 4: Global $wgLang is null
It wipes out the whole $_GLOBALS array including the global $wgUser
