External link to file gives no effect when clicking on it in our wiki page. But when I copy the same link in URL bar it opens the file automatically.

Most modern browsers disallow links into the local file system by default for security reasons. If you want to use this feature, you may need to configure you clients to allow them. See [UNC links - MediaWiki](https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/UNC_links#Browser_compatibility) for more information.

Thanks for the tip. This is probably only possible with the BlueSpice On Premises? We only have the Cloud version.

This is not related to the sever environment, but a configuration on the client (Webbrowser). So it should also work with the Cloud Edition of BlueSpice.
